SOLIMAGO is a Farm Company (Azienda Agricola) run by Antonella and Simonetta Licata. Enhanced by a sweet weather and a fertile soil, for a long time a strong rural activity took place. This site exists with this name since 2004.
The AZIENDA has been ruled until 1990 by a very valiant woman, Mrs Anna Costanza Fattori, who held the vast estate after the untimely death of her husband, Mr. Ettore Fattori, a clever and willing engineer.
Then their nephews, Annamaria and Lionello Costanza Fattori, took over.
Nowadays Annamaria and Giuseppe Licata’s daughters run SOLIMAGO.
SOLIMAGO spreads out between wild plants, irises, lavender, wisteria, roses, ivy-clad stonewalls and the fragrance of aromatics herbs in an enchanted and silent environment. It is a place to forget the passing time and to give free course to the sensations springing from the fairy, scented garden, where a stunning Magnolia grows near secular cedars of Lebanon and giant Mulberries, a memory of the silk mill that was productive until 1930.
The AZIENDA AGRICOLA SOLIMAGO, part of the huge Costanza Fattori’s Estate, is located in the quiet hamlet of Pozzo Catena in the heart of Solferino (Mantua).
